A small difference. A clear reason.
The base charge is £0.60 above the agreed rate for this service and weight band.
Standard · 0–5 kg: £5.80 per parcel, agreed from 1 March.
Duplicate charges, rates above your contract, surcharges that should not be there. Every line checked, with the evidence.
Do it yourself, first month free. Or book a call and we do it for you: we file the claims and take 30% of what comes back, nothing if we find nothing.
Illustrative data. A finding is not a confirmed refund.
What happens to a carrier invoice at Overbill: it arrives, every line is read and checked, each overcharge is shown with its evidence, the claim is filed, and the credit is tracked back.
Seven steps, each a screen of the app as a customer sees it, from the carrier’s email to the credit and the decision to pay.
The screens and figures below are illustrative, not a customer’s data.
Forward the carrier’s email to your company’s own invoice address, once, or set a rule. When it carries only a link, as UPS’s does, Overbill asks you to download the file and send it. The file is listed the moment it lands: a data file or a PDF is read on arrival once our team has checked a first file of its layout, and a scan is keyed in by us.
Every line is shown beside the row of the file it came from, so you can see how it was read and say so if a column is wrong.
Against your rate card, the carrier’s published data and what you shipped. A check that could not run says so, and why.
Billed, expected, where the expected price came from, the shipment behind it, and the days left to claim.
A dispute file keyed the way the carrier keys its invoice, for you to send from your own account, or for us to send when we do it for you.
When the credit appears on a later invoice, it is matched back to the claim it pays, and what is still open stays open.
An invoice with nothing open is marked OK to pay before its due date, on the rules you set in Setup. One you have paid already is checked just the same.
A finding is a line, the price it should have carried, and where that price came from. These three are the ones that turn up most.
The base charge is £0.60 above the agreed rate for this service and weight band.
Standard · 0–5 kg: £5.80 per parcel, agreed from 1 March.
Two identical base charges appear for the same parcel. Your shipment record shows one parcel, and no credit nets the second.
Same tracking number, service, date and £5.80 base charge on both lines.
The residential surcharge was billed at £3.15. Your agreement with UPS prices it at £2.10 a parcel, so £1.05 was billed above it.
Residential surcharge: £2.10 per parcel, agreed from 1 March.
The same parcel or shipment billed twice, on one invoice or across two.
A price higher than the rate you agreed for that service, zone and weight.
A fuel percentage above the carrier’s published rate for that week, where we hold its weekly table: today UPS in the US, Old Dominion and XPO.
Labels voided or never shipped, still billed as parcels.
A billed weight or size above what you actually shipped.
US parcel: a guaranteed service delivered late, and the refund the carrier owes you.
Your forwarder’s air, sea and road bills are checked too: freight by lane, fees, fuel and bunker, and origin charges.
Forwarder bills, checkedSee what you really pay per carrier, service and surcharge, month by month, and where the money goes. Reports come with both offers, on screen, by email or as a feed for your spreadsheet.
The same tool either way, and the same reports.

Overbill Ltd, an independent UK company. We sell no shipping labels and take no commission from any carrier, so we are only ever on your side of the invoice. When we do it for you, you deal with the founder directly.
Parcel: UPS, DPD and Royal Mail in the UK, and UPS and FedEx in the US. Freight: forwarders’ air, sea and road bills (forwarder bills, checked), and Old Dominion and XPO less-than-truckload bills in the US. Another carrier’s invoices, in CSV, Excel or PDF: the first file is checked by our team, and every file after it is read the same way.
